Edward Scissorhands:

Tim Burton captures you from the 1st second of the opening credits, the visuals and the music take you from this world and puts you in the world of Edward so when you see him, you don’t feel strange, this is Burton’s magic. I loved and wished I could see more of Edward’s Father / Inventor actor Vincent Price.

I think in the latest Burton movie, Sweeney Todd, several elements were inspired of this movie.
