Creatures, creatures, creatures and then some more creatures. This is what makes this movie so good, the imagination of director and writer Guillermo Del Toro populates the world of Hellboy with multiple creatures, some that appear for less than 5 seconds, but contribute ultimately to the feel of this flick.
In a nutshell this movie is very enjoyable, even if, like me, you didn’t get to watch the first one. The difference with superhero movies is that Hellboy is not the only “Odd” creature in this human world, this makes all of the creatures human like, the way Ron Perlman (Hellboy) acts certainly helps giving the red creature human behaviour. Watch it or rent it.
